Booking Policies

Age Requirement Policy- Guests must be 18 years or older with valid government issued identification to reserve and to check in to a guestroom.

Occupancy Policy- Rooms have specific bed-space/adult occupancy. Roll-away beds are not available. An extra person charge of $50.00 will apply for adults surpassing specified occupancy.

Check-in / out policies

Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is 12:00 noon. Guests who check out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an early departure fee of one night.

General Policies

ADA Policy- ADA compliant guest rooms are available and should be reserved in advance. For more information, please contact the hotel directly.

Alcohol Policies- Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older (with valid identification). Alcoholic beverages must be consumed within designated areas.

Special Events Policies- The Midland Hotel may enforce special event policies over high-demand dates, such as some holidays, festivals, or other citywide events. Some of these events include Texas State Cookoff (May, 2 night required), The Old-Settler’s Reunion (August), and Graduation (May).

Event policies can include pre-payment/non- cancelable requirements for room reservations. For the safety and security of all hotel guests, access to guest floors during special events is limited to registered guests. During special events, registered guests are issued wristbands. Additional guests, will incur an additional charge per person of $50.00 per night, plus applicable taxes.

As with all major events, the city may opt to close specific streets which can result in traffic delays during evening hours. Please allow extra time when traveling to and from the hotel. Hotel parking is limited and is made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pet Policy- The hotel is 100% pet free. We are sorry that we are not able to accommodate pets at this time.

Smoking Policy- The hotel is 100% smoke free. There are designated smoking areas outside of the building. A $200 per day cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s account should smoking occur anywhere inside the hotel.

Payment Policies

Debit / Credit Cards- Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

Gift Certificates- Please contact the hotel directly at 254-796- HICO (4426) to purchase or redeem gift certificates.

Cash Payment- If paying with cash; a deposit equal to the room, tax and $100.00 USD per day towards incidentals will be collected at check-in.

1896 Saloon Club- Hotel guests also have special access to the 1896 Saloon Club. A relaxing, upscale space, the 1896 Saloon offers a variety of beverage options as well as appetizers from our restaurant menu. Take advantage of The 1896 Saloon Club Lounge where you can connect with friends, meet with your team, or simply relax by catching your favorite TV show.

Business Services- Need to get some work done? A copier/fax/printer and complimentary office supplies are ready to go.

Wi-Fi Availability- Free guest Wi-Fi is available to all guests of the Hotel, Restaurant and Saloon.

After Hours- Please contact the Manager on Duty.

Midland's Historic Rooms

The Midland Hotel will have 13 rooms upstairs and 1 ADA approved room downstairs. Each room will have its own unique history, focusing on different parts of history including people, businesses and community life that surrounded Hamilton Co. during the early 1900. We invite you to return to our piece of history, and stay in a different room. You never know what part of history you will connect.
